Description

Feverfew Tincture (Tanacetum parthenium L.) 50ml

The name Feverfew stems from the Latin word febrifugia, “fever reducer.” The first-century Greek physician Dioscorides prescribed feverfew for “all hot inflammations.” Feverfew also was known as “medieval aspirin” or the “aspirin” of the 18th century.

The plant has been used for over 2000 years to treat fever, headache, arthritis, asthma, earache, inflammatory conditions, insect bites, swelling, vertigo, and worms. Feverfew also has been used as an insecticide, and for treating coughs and colds. Traditionally, the herb has been used to help reduce fevers, hence it’s name.

Modern science has confirmed the effectiveness of Feverfew as a preventative for migraine headaches when taken daily because of the unique plant chemical, parthenolide, which helps relieve smooth muscle spasms and can combat the widening of blood vessels that occurs in migraines. It is a natural anti-inflamatory and antioxidant, protecting joint tissues against free radical damage and preventing damage to the membranes lining the surfaces of the bones.

Ingredients: Feverfew, (Tanacetum parthenium L.) Vodka,….and time.
